Recently, East Cape began hitting the road to different locations in the spirit of community to share stories (tell a few tall “tails”) while getting feedback directly from their customers.
On a recent trek, East Cape Skiffs traveled 600 miles to Swansboro, North Carolina for their first NC demo day. The event was hosted with Pogie’s Fishing Center with several East Cape models in attendance. Along with the resident NC skiffs, Clutch Fly Rods made the trip up from Charleston with their new Vantage in tow.
John Mauser with Mauser Fly Fishing was a participant and says, “The show was a great success, with lots of anglers who were able see the quality of these skiffs first hand. After the demo, several of the skiffs hit the water together in pursuit of redfish. It was a fantastic event, and we are looking forward to more meetups in NC as the poling skiff movement continues to gain momentum in our state.”
