Capt. Mason Stoller says: The man himself! // It was a pleasure to hangout and fish with Dan Blanton and Dave McKenzie this weekend. I was mesmerized listening to the epic stories and picking up pieces of wisdom the whole way. I grew up reading about Dan’s saltwater fly fishing adventures around the world and learned a lot of new techniques and tactics to apply to my own waters. So much appreciation and respect for all of the passion and innovation he has poured into our sport. Watching him step up on the deck and absolutely ROPE the calicos nonstop for hours was so badass!! Conditions were perfect with big swell, overcast skies and hot humid weather. Solid 1-3lb fish came pouring over the rails on almost every cast and a few PIGS were found along the way. .
