Flip Pallot on his new Whipray:
Just built my seventh Hells Bay “Whipray” skiff. This one is ice blue inside and out and has a very old school, small, center console with dual, Morse controls. Offsetting the old school look of the console is an E-7 RayMarine plotter and an Ongaro wheel…power is 40 Mercury four stroke. On the port side coverboard is a Hells Bay rod scabbard and on the starboard coverboard is a set of custom push pole holders available at FlipPallot.com
Here is what Hell’s Bay says about the Whipray:
The Whipray set the standard for excellence in shallow water performance and it continues as a benchmark against which all other skills are measured. It was the advent of the Whipray that brought Hells Bay Boatworks to the forefront of the industry. It can pole effortlessly into a wind and against the tide while still maintaining the superior handling attributes necessary to stop, spin and pole in the shallowest circumstances. The Whipray has also found its home on the numerous large fishing vessels around the world as a fishing tender.
