Connecting Corridors says: Chilling in our @morrisislandboatworks hand-built wooden Church Skiff in front of Roanoke River Light. Waterways used to be the highways of the Albemarle Sound region so naturally, boats were an integral part of the culture. Wood skiffs with their shallow drafts are ideal for navigating skinny creeks and lazy rivers with depthless waters. These flat-bottom boats can be rowed, paddled or poled.
