Capt. Mason Stoller says: One of those days // Started with overcast skies and flat calm conditions, nothing moving and I sat just waiting. Just like flipping the switch, the sun popped out, the tide started moving and I started seeing surface activity and bright yellow forktails charging about. The next hour was one of the best yellowtail sessions I’ve ever had. Watching 2 and 3 big yellows fight each other for the fly and then eat right off my transom. Had to step up to the 14wt as I lost two on the 12wt and 20lb, put 25lb flouro on and buttoned the drag to stop them. Ended up with 2 for eating, one released and lost another 3 to structure. Unbelievable visuals today, wish I could share them with you all! .
