Meet Wes Bedell’s fully rigged Ankona Native…Native and Proud.
The Ankona Native SUV is named as their “Sports Utility Vehicle”. Ankona quietly goes about their mission, to build great shallow water poling skiffs that track, spin and stop on a dime. With a skiff’s mission like that there is also a focus on no hull slap and low resonance. Materials are of the highest quality: ISO/NPG Gelcoats, high strength ISO blend resins and bi-axial fabrics. The Ankona features a PRISMA preformance stringer system, honeycomb core in deck and floor with high density expanded PVC board used in the transom and high stress deck areas. This is an extremely strong but lightweight skiff at 320 pounds.
