Throwback sending home a solid tarpon, hooked up in a deep channel next to the flats….. from the boat that FINALLY made EVERYTHING possible! (- well almost everything!!) The original homebuilt Mk 1 ‘Tarponator’….. my Foldcat microskiff…… The challenges presented using such craft to learn to track and hunt fish in the wilds of Antigua – paved the way for everything that now follows. Being ‘marooned’ for the day with a single guest – on something the size of a front door(!!) just made it easier to forge the lasting connections with my clients! As I watched they didn’t connect their fly with ME!!! I REALLY appreciate my panga now though. Life without it just wouldn’t be the same….. Great first ever tarpon for Rob too!!#rememberwhereyoucamefrom
